The National Institute for Excellence in Teaching held its 14th Annual National TAP Conference in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, California, on Friday, March 7 - Saturday, March 8, 2014, at the JW Marriott L.A. LIVE Hotel.
The National TAP Conference is a dynamic gathering of practitioners, policymakers, federal, state and district administrators, organizations, foundations and businesses involved with the implementation of TAP: The System for Teacher and Student Advancement across the country. The conference is a powerful venue, both for those new to and experienced in TAP, to learn more about TAP in practice and its role on the national pulse of innovative education reform.
Attendees enjoyed a range of opportunities to gain a deeper understanding of TAP's career advancement, professional development, teacher evaluation and performance-based compensation, as well as network with other TAP participants. In addition to practitioner-focused break-out sessions, trainings and hands-on workshops, the TAP conference included a national plenary panel tying TAP's proven reforms to critical issues facing America's K-12 system today.
