Julee Becker is the superintendent of Slaton Independent School District, a district of four campuses located in the Texas panhandle. As superintendent, Becker strives to set data-based goals, while providing professional development opportunities for educators, school board and community members. These efforts support Slaton ISD's mission to empower all students to lead extraordinary lives through engaging learning experiences led by inspirational educators.
Prior to becoming superintendent, Becker supported students in a variety of roles, including principal, federal program manager, and classroom teacher. She earned a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from Lubbock Christian University, a Master of Education in educational leadership from Texas Tech University, and is currently enrolled in Texas Tech University's Doctoral Program of Studies in Educational Leadership.
