Since 2007, Saul Hinojosa has served as superintendent of Somerset Independent School District, a Texas district of over 500 employees and six school campuses. During his tenure, Somerset ISD has won numerous acclaims, including being recognized by Network Magazine for efforts to enhance STEM education. Hinojosa is dedicated to ensuring that students are afforded the best opportunities and resources possible. This commitment to supporting policies that serve the students of Somerset ISD has led to invitations to testify before the United States Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee and the Texas House of Representatives Education Committee. Hinojosa earned a Bachelor of Science from Southwest Texas State University, a Master's from Texas A&M-Kingsville, and a doctorate from the University of Texas.
