Roberto J. Rodríguez is president and CEO of Teach Plus, where he builds the teacher leadership movement and supports the contribution of teacher leaders to educational innovation and change. Prior to this position, Roberto served in senior roles in the White House and U.S. Senate. As deputy assistant to President Barack Obama for education, Rodríguez developed and advanced policies to improve educational opportunity for learners from birth through adulthood. His collaboration with Congress ultimately led to the enactment of the Every Student Succeeds Act. In the U.S. Senate, Rodríguez served as principal education adviser to the late U.S. Senator Edward M. Kennedy. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and a Master of Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
