As chief instructional officer in Orangeburg School District 5, in Orangeburg, S.C., Dr. Cynthia Cash-Greene works to ensure all students in the district receive the highest-quality instruction. Cash-Greene has served as an educator in the K-12 setting for over 30 years, most recently as superintendent of two school districts in South Carolina. She has served as an instructor for Webster University and Claflin University Online. She is trained as a lead evaluator for AdvancED and serves on the S.C. AdvancED Council. Cash-Greene also serves as a board member for S.C. Palmetto Unified School District and S.C. Public Charter School District. She has spoken on panels for Learning Forward (2013), Rosetta Stone (2018) and Morris College (2018). In 2002, Cash-Greene was named South Carolina Elementary Principal of the Year. She holds degrees from Cornell University, The University of South Carolina, Winthrop University and the Citadel of Charleston, S.C.
