As principal of Douglas MacArthur Elementary in Perry Township Schools, Indianapolis, Star Hardimon has led the school to an "A" rating by the state for several years. She started her journey in education as a third grade classroom teacher in Toledo, Ohio, in 1998. Since, she has worked in Perry Township Schools as a teacher, literacy coach, assistant principal, and eventually, principal of Douglas MacArthur Elementary. A graduate of Ohio University, Hardimon earned her Master of Arts in educational leadership from the University of Indianapolis.
