Who is your favorite teacher?

Mr. Marlowe was my seventh-grade math teacher and taught me not only how to search for answers to a problem, but how to enjoy the process of working through it. I think back to him every time I'm struggling with a problem (rarely math anymore) and take a step back to appreciate the journey through my own thought processes.

What do you do in your free time?

I spend time with my 5-month old puppy, play basketball and tennis and blog about rap music and the New York Knicks (who, mark my words, are definitely winning a championship soon!)

What was your favorite subject in school and why?

I always loved history because of how my teachers were able to frame it in light of current events. It's a cliche, but history does repeat itself, and drawing those parallels fascinated me.
