Through my partnership with NIET as an instructional leader, I had the privilege to witness firsthand the transformative power of fostering a culture of student ownership. What do you do in your free time?

In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends. My family and I love sports! My son played soccer all the way through college and currently you will most likely find me on the sidelines of a basketball court cheering on my daughter! I love to cook, read, listen to podcasts, and enjoy decorating!

Who was your favorite teacher?

I have many teachers who impacted my life, however, my favorite would be my 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Hawkins. I vividly remember sitting with my class as she would read to us from a chapter book every day after lunch. She is the one who sparked my love of reading which is still one of my greatest passions!
