Dr. Andrea Tory Broussard

Dr. Andrea Tory Broussard is an educator and leader who resides in central Texas. Tory’s career has spanned many roles including classroom teacher, instructional coach, Master Teacher, and administration. In addition to working in a large public school district, Tory’s experiences also include work at an online charter school, where her leadership role involved supporting principals in implementing effective Instructional Leadership Team meetings and acclimating all staff to instructional best practices.

Tory earned a Bachelor’s degree in both English and History, a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Research from Louisiana State University. Tory’s love of learning led her to attain National Board Certification in 2006. In 2024, Tory’s doctoral focus examined how educational leaders can support the advancement of already high-achieving students.

Why are you passionate about working at NIET?

Because Tory experienced significant gains in student achievement as the result of engaging in the best instructional practices and organizational structures learned through NIET as an educator and leader, she now strives to make a broader impact through her work with NIET.

What do you do in your free time?

When she is not hard at work, Tory enjoys shopping with her mother, walking her dogs, traveling and cooking with her significant other, Mark, and cheering on the LSU Tigers with her beloved sons, Tyler and Tate.
