Dr. Alexandria Cooper is a passionate, dedicated educational leader who has impacted students and teachers at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Alexandria believes that every student has the capability to succeed in life, despite the obstacles they may face.

Dr. Cooper has been serving students since 2017, when she got her start as an elementary school teacher. After serving in the classroom for four years, she transitioned into the Master Teacher role at the junior high level. From 2023-2026, Dr. Cooper served as the principal of Homer High School. The motto “Why Not Homer” was the school’s rallying cry that motivated the school community to achieve what was previously said could never be accomplished at Homer High School. In 2025, Homer High School achieved its highest School Performance rating in school history.

A native of Shreveport, Louisiana, Dr. Cooper holds degrees in Elementary Education (B.S.), Curriculum and Instruction (M.Ed), and P-12 Educational Administration (Ed.D).
