William Mock

William Mock is an NIET Specialist with more than 13 years of experience in education. Before joining NIET, he served as an Executive Master Teacher, Master Teacher, department chair, and secondary mathematics teacher. Throughout his career, he has focused on strengthening instructional practices, developing teacher leaders, and helping schools use data to improve student learning.
William experienced the impact of NIET's work firsthand as both an educator and a NIET Fellow. He has dedicated his career to partnering with teachers and school leaders to strengthen instruction, develop teacher leadership, and support schoolwide improvement efforts that lead to lasting gains in student achievement. He was also selected to participate in Stanford University's Hoover Institution Working Group on the Future of the Teaching Profession. William earned his bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and is passionate about helping schools build the systems and capacity needed for long-term success.
