Prior to administration, Curry served as a 6th grade English/language arts teacher, parent educator and kindergarten teacher in Knox County Schools.  She was previously a Common Core Coach for the Tennessee Department of Education. In 2015, Curry was accepted into the 6th cohort of Knox County School’s Leadership Academy which was the beginning of her administrative career with the district. Prior to being appointed the principal of Sarah Moore Greene, Curry was an assistant principal of Vine Middle Magnet and West Valley Middle School. Curry holds a bachelor of arts degree in psychology, a master’s degree in elementary education, and an educational leadership degree all from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Curry is a wife and a proud mother of two boys.
