Why are you passionate about working at NIET?

I am passionate about working at NIET because I have witnessed student success when teachers are focused on a culture of collaboration and instructional excellence. All students deserve high-quality teachers who implement best practices.

Who is your favorite teacher?

My favorite teacher was Mrs. Hand. She taught high school geometry and was one of the major influences on my decision to become a teacher. She made math accessible through the use of technology and manipulatives.

What do you do in your free time?

In my free time I enjoy hanging with my husband and two kids. We enjoy family time around the pool and cheering on all LSU sports. I also love a good book and any kind of retail therapy.
