As an NIET Indiana TSL senior specialist, Angelina Burrows is passionate about helping educators become the absolute best in their field. With the right support in place, every classroom can have educator excellence embodied in it. Angelina's goal is to be a catalyst for this change to happen. She believes with hard work, dedication, and a mindset of excellence, school leaders will grow, and in turn, so will their teachers and ultimately their students.
Prior to joining NIET, Angelina worked as an assistant principal for Indianapolis Public Schools and dean of students at Hammond High School in Northwest Indiana. She has also been a master and mentor teacher at Scott Middle School (also in Hammond, Indiana), where she started her career in education as a seventh grade science teacher. As a first-generation college graduate, Angelina earned her Bachelor of Science from Loyola University Chicago, Master of Science in education from Quincy University, and Master of Education in school administration and supervision from Indiana State University.
