Claire Murray

Senior Program Specialist

Claire Murray has been an educator for over 15 years. As an English Language Arts teacher and response-to-intervention coordinator, Murray empowered students to find their voices and celebrate learning. She has served as a mentor teacher, master teacher, and regional master teacher for SC TAP. Most recently, Claire supported the Office of Personalized Learning and the Office of Educator Effectiveness and Leadership Development with the South Carolina Department of Education.

Claire holds a Bachelor of Arts in elementary and middle level education from Clemson University and a Master of Education in educational administration from the University of South Carolina.

Who is your favorite teacher?

My favorite teacher is my first boss, Carole Ingram. She is a transformational leader and lifelong learner.

What is your superpower/hidden talent?

All educators are brain architects!

What do you do in your free time?

In my free time, I enjoy reading, painting and being outdoors.
