Stephanie Mosqueda oversees NIET’s strategic projects which include special projects, events, educator pipeline, and NIET’s web-based tools. Because she is passionate and dedicated to the same belief stated by Founder Lowell Milken that "The quality of an educational system cannot exceed the quality of its educators," she is proud of the work carried out with NIET.

Stephanie has worked with NIET since 2009 in a variety of capacities, which include serving as a a TAP System principal, supporting statewide teacher evaluation efforts and district and school level implementation of systemic transformation efforts. Prior to that, she was a district supervisor for pre-K-12 Bilingual, ESL, Migrant and Title III in Texas.

As a former principal and principal leader, she continues to support and build the leadership and instructional capacity of professionals in the school system. Stephanie holds a master's degree in educational psychology with an emphasis on bilingual/ESL studies from Texas A&M University, as well as a master's degree in educational leadership from Sam Houston State University.

What accomplishment are you most proud of through your work at NIET?

I am most proud of the ability to work with teachers and administrators across the nation to improve practice and student performance.

What do you do in your free time?

I like to spend as much time as I can with my children.
